Frequently Asked Questions
At Wammoth Services, we understand the importance of maintaining a safe and efficient gas fireplace. We provide answers to the most common questions to ensure you have a seamless experience with our services.
A gas fireplace is an appliance fueled by gas (Natural or Propane). Gas fireplaces require maintenance by a qualified professional every year per the manufacturer. Your owner's manual will provide the specific recommendations from the manufacturer. This may include items that can be performed by you, but a qualified service provider is required annually.
The annual service includes complete inspection, verifying correct configuration, cleaning, tune-up, and adjustments so your gas fireplace performs optimally as designed.Â
If you only service with a qualified professional when there is an issue, that is not considered maintenance. Â
A gas fireplace, even a maintained one, will eventually require replacement parts and possible replacement of the entire unit.
Start with a Wammoth Service and schedule a service appointment with us. Let us put the groove back in your hearth - even if it is not maintained!
Our gas fireplace service price starts at $350.00 per fireplace. Additional charges will apply for units with multiple glass sides, specialty units, outdoor firepits and services required that are beyond the normal manufacturer recommended service. Examples of this include but are not limited to; improperly maintained or ill-maintained units, excessive soot, dust, or dirt, improper installation or improper service performed by another provider.
We provide an estimated price based on the information you provide with the online submission form, but the technician will provide the final price to you at the appointment. Payment is due at that time. We accept cash, check, and credit cards (4% convenience fee applies).

IMPORTANT:
We are gas fireplace experts. Majority of our services result in new life and better operation for a gas fireplace. Sometimes though, a gas fireplace may need additional work after the initial service appointment. We do not provide a guarantee or warranty on the gas fireplace service or repair. Additional services, diagnostics, repairs, or complete replacement of the fireplace may be necessary. New installations include a manufacturer's warranty or other warranty program.
We do not offer guarantees or a warranty with our gas fireplace service at this time.Â
Majority of services we perform are on units that are not serviced annually or have never been serviced. Failure to follow manufacturer's instructions regarding the care and maintenance of a fireplace may result in poor performance, shortend life of the fireplace unit and components, require multiple services or work beyond the normal scope of the service, or require complete replacement.
If a return visit is necessary after completion of the service, we may offer a discounted diagnostic appointment. Our technician will assess the situation during this return appointment.
New gas fireplaces or repairs/replacement parts that we have installed includes limited manufacture warranty on the part(s). Diagnostic fees and labor charges are generally not covered under manufacturer warranty. It is reviewed and determined on a case by case basis. Â
